Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) has reflected its perpetual commitment by establishing a well-coordinated and harmonious network of schools all over the country during the past years to educate the children of industrial workers, a hardworking but poor segment of society, Through these institutions, WWF is imparting quality education to children in coordination with its provincial counterparts in every nook and corner of the country. These schools are providing free of cost quality education to the children of workers in a conducive and receptive manner, It may be mentioned that WWF is also establishing a large number of schools in far-flung areas of the country to cater for the emerging needs of working class.

HEALTH SERVICES:

Government is cognizant of the fact that only a healthy Nation can achieve a prosperous future for Pakistan. It is ultimately an individual whose state of mental, physical and psychological well being can result in a healthy and a dynamic Nation, Realizing this pre-requisite, our government is vigorously pursuing the goal of HEALTH FOR ALL set forth by WHO under auspices of our National Health policy, Our government is providing the health care services to people at their doorsteps through a well coordinated and cohesive district health care system throughout the country, Majority of people living in rural areas are given health care services through basic health units and rural health centers. Referral services are being provided to people through district and teaching hospitals.

Raising the living standard and socio economic uplift of industrial community is the cornerstone of WWF policies, industrial workers and their families belong to that deprived segment of society which hardly meets its both ends. Due to lack of financial resources, workers cannot bear the expenditure of their children's education and are unable to provide the basic amenities of health and housing to their families. The disability or death of a worker brings several crises for their families which makes their lives miserable. Cognizant of the socio economic conditions of workers, WWF has been offering the following schemes aiming at the welfare of the industrial workers and their families.

HOUSING SERVICES:

Significance of home cannot be overemphasized. It is a basic requirement of both rich and poor. Envisioned by United Nations, it is the international obligation of each and every government to provide its citizens with basic requirement of housing which otherwise is his fundamental right. Government of Pakistan has given utmost priority to housing sector to provide shelter to its citizens. Federal and Provincial governments are moving forward to take revolutionary measures in this sector. District governments have been instructed to encourage real estate sector and come up with meaningful plan of action on priority basis, keeping in view the heavy investment of private and corporate sector, government has welcomed the interest of multinational agencies in this sector.
