Industrial sector plays a key role for the growth and strengthening of the economies of progressive countries. In order to bring Pakistan in the rank of such countries, we have to multiply our efforts to improve the industrial sector. In other words, we have to produce a host of skilled worker and trained management and create suitable working conditions. This is a continuous process where WWF can play a vital role as a catalyst. Ultimately an atmosphere of conducive working relationship between the labour and the management will be created based on mutual trust, cooperation and interdependence.

The labour policy of the Government is deeply rooted in the Islamic concept of dignity of labour. It advocates full regard for the legitimate rights of the workers and the employers. This is because the real strength of an industry lies in the complementary and harmonious efforts of both the workers, and the employers based upon sound relationship.

It is rightly said that the prosperity of industrial workers, prosperity of industry and prosperity of a country are interlinked, interdependent and complementary to each other. A worker whose basic necessities of life, working conditions and working relations with the management are satisfactory and smooth, will certainly be able to utilize all his potentials to the maximum and be more productive. The main function of WWF is thus to help implementing various welfare schemes resulting from such labour policies focused on providing basic needs to the industrial workers such as residence, free healthcare, education and training facilities.
